About 4th Annual Steppin’ Up for Kids

The UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation (UHCCF) 4th Annual Steppin' Up for Kids is back! Step up and take part in a friendly move-a-thon competition, among individuals and regions across the U.S.

We have a goal to inspire 1,000+ people to come together, virtually, under the cause of helping UHCCF award medical grants for children.

Our amazing Grant Ambassadors are leading the charge for their regions! They are ready to cheer you on and inspire you along the way! Join the movement by walking, running, jumping, dancing, bike riding, or just moving for UHCCF. Each person is challenged to take 50,000+ steps doing everyday activities that fuel the body. That equates to each participant moving 25+ miles in 30 days! Get moving for your own health, wherever you are, and help a great cause!

Make sure you join the UHCCF Grant Ambassador led team for your region because all of dollars raised by each team will support medical grants for kids in their own region.

New this year, the region that raises the most money at the end of the event, will be awarded an additional $10,000 to be used in their region for medical grants. This wonderful new addition is made possible by the generosity of Walgreens.

About the UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation

The  UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) offers timely financial support to families, so they can focus on what is most important – improving the quality of life of their child. UHCCF grants help with medical expenses not covered, or not fully covered, by their commercial health insurance.

UHCCF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides medical grants to help children gain access to health-related services not covered, or not fully covered, by their family’s commercial health insurance plan. Families can receive up to $5,000 annually per child ($10,000 lifetime maximum per child), and do not need to have insurance through UnitedHealthcare to be eligible. UHCCF was founded in 1999.

Since 2007, UHCCF has awarded 23,000 grants valued at $51M to children and their families across the United States. UHCCF’s funding is provided by contributions from individuals, corporations and UnitedHealth Group employees.
