San Diego's Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House provides a "home away from home" for families with children in local hospitals. 

Each night, 56 families find a room to lay their weary heads just steps from their child across the street in the hospital. Over 1,000 families call San Diego's Ronald McDonald House home each year. 

Every day, the Ronald McDonald House is open to any parent with a child in the hospital. These parents come for a hot meal, free of charge, a warm shower and new clothes, or just a quiet place to escape for a moment. Over 13,000 people find comfort at the House each year. 

During this time of uncertainty, the House has remained open to serve families with the most critically ill children whose treatments can't wait for COVID-19 to pass and continues to provide to-go meals for those families with hospitalized children. 

What your Gift Will Do

Your gift will help families find stability and peace of mind with rest, nourishment, and connections with others in similar situations. Best of all, you'll help hospitalized children benefit from the love and care of their families when it matters most. 

All money raised from Tables for Tots will support the Home Fund, underwriting the core mission services of Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. Temporary lodging, meals, and other life necessities at San Diego's Ronald McDonald House help to sustain families whose lives have been turned upside down by their child's diagnosis and treatment. By providing an unrestricted gift to our Home Fund, you are supporting our highest and most urgent needs as determined by our volunteer Board of Trustees.
