Mike had it pretty tough in school. Because he was in a Special Ed class, kids made fun of him and he didn't have many friends. He was called every bad name in the book. He always felt bad about himself and tried to stay away from kids who were mean to him.

But lucky for Mike, a classmate told him about Special Olympics and the friends he would make. Most importantly, she told him people would accept him just the way he was. Now the only names he is ever called are things like "athlete", "hero" and "champion".

Today Mike is an amazing, athlete, outstanding spokesperson for Special Olympics and a loyal friend. He is just one example of the remarkable difference Special Olympics makes and you are helping to make that happen.
