Take ACTION for Psoriatic Disease
My name is Edgar Payano, 42 years old and a Psoriasis Warrior since 2014 when I was diagnosed with the condition after being misdiagnosed for months. To my surprise not every dermatologist treats Psoriasis, and those that do aren’t familiar treating the condition on people of color, and on top of that there is lots of misconceptions and misinformation about Psoriasis particularly in the Latino community; this is the main reason I decided to join NPF.
I feel the NPF provides an incredible platform with tools and information where I can direct my friends and family for knowledge. Championing this cause is very close to my heart and the fact that I am able to engage my circle to raise awareness and raise funds for research is incredibly fulfilling. As you may know there is no straight pathway to treat Psoriasis but luckily thanks to research there are many ways to treat Psoriasis. Honored and proud to be a member of the NPF family.
