A Habitat for Humanity Team Build Day gets your team out of the office and onto the build site, working together to create safe, affordable housing for families in our community.
Side by side, your team will take on real construction tasks that directly contribute to a home. It is collaboration with purpose. Teamwork you can see and feel at the end of the day.

What is a Habitat Team Build Day?
A Habitat Team Build Day is a hands-on, purpose-driven experience designed for organizations that want to give back in a meaningful way — while strengthening their own teams.
From the moment you register, we take care of everything. No construction experience? No problem. No gear? We’ve got it covered. From online registration to hard hats and tool belts, Habitat Manitoba provides everything your team needs for a safe, rewarding, and memorable day on the build site.
Working in collaborative groups, participants complete real construction tasks that directly contribute to safe, affordable homes for hard-working Habitat partner families. Along the way, your team will learn new skills, build confidence, and experience the power of working together toward something bigger than themselves.
Our Team Build season runs from May 7 to October 23, and we can accommodate teams of 5 to 50 participants, with customizable programs tailored to your employee engagement and team-building objectives.
This isn’t just volunteering.
It’s a shared experience your team will talk about long after the final nail is hammered.

Here’s what your build day looks like:
Get ready for a productive, energizing, and purpose-filled day on site.
Your team’s safety is our top priority. All participants complete online safety training before arrival and attend a comprehensive morning safety briefing. Our experienced Habitat Manitoba staff and volunteers guide you every step of the way, ensuring everyone is properly trained, equipped, and supported throughout the day.
8:15 AM – Arrival & Sign-In
Your team arrives on site, signs in, and is outfitted with personal safety gear.
8:30 AM – Welcome & Safety Briefing
We’ll walk through site safety, introduce the day’s goals, and assign teams to their building tasks.
Morning & Afternoon – Build Together
Work in collaborative groups on meaningful construction tasks, supported by experienced supervisors and volunteers.
12:00 PM – Lunch Break
Enjoy a catered lunch included with your build day. Snacks and water are available throughout the day to keep your team fueled and energized.
3:45 PM – Clean-Up & Wrap-Up
We gather tools, reflect on the day’s accomplishments, and celebrate what your team has helped build.
