Stepping it up for our community

Welcome to the annual TD StairClimb for United Way

TD StairClimb for United Way is one of our community’s longest-standing events. For more than a quarter-century, we have gathered together in early November to step up to the top of One London Place while raising dollars and awareness for United Way funded programs and services that help local people across our region.

After two years as a virtual event, we’re thrilled to present a remake of this annual fundraiser. We know it will be a lot of fun to reunite with colleagues and classmates and burn off some energy.

And we also know it’s fun for a serious purpose. It’s connection. With each other, with community, with a shared goal of building a community where everyone matters. People who struggled with food, housing and mental health before the pandemic have found themselves living even closer to the margins today.

That’s why your support is so important. The annual TD StairClimb and other campaign events help United Way Elgin Middlesex support 52 essential programs and seven pilot projects at 41 local agencies – each with a laser focus on reducing and preventing poverty, providing emergency and basic needs, providing safe and affordable housing, and promoting social and economic inclusion for all.

United Way Elgin Middlesex is the region’s largest non-government funder of social services. Every dollar stays 100% local.

So when you step up, you’re saying you believe in this community and giving everyone a fair shot at a good life.

I believe that too. I’ll be lacing up my running shoes and strapping on my step-counter, and reaching out to my friends and family for pledges. Because I can’t wait to be #ReUnited with all of you and our neighbours in LocalLove.

Register today as a team or individual, collect and make pledges and earn cool badges that highlight your hard work, your fundraising goals and the points you’ve collected.
