2023 Northern Nevada Torch Run supporting Special Olympics Nevada

Support SONV’s efforts to establish an independently run Special Olympics chapter in Nevada by participating in our 2023 Northern Nevada Torch Run!
Your $25 registration fee includes a commemorative Torch Run t-shirt that you can wear with pride during your run. We encourage all personnel to go the extra mile and raise additional funds for our athletes.
Special Olympics Nevada is proud of the dedicated law enforcement personnel from all over Nevada who are committed to raising thousands of dollars for our amazing Special Olympics athletes and increasing public awareness to our Program. Your participation does not only raise funds for Special Olympics Nevada, but also positively highlights your agency within the community you serve.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) is the largest public awareness vehicle and grass-roots fundraiser for Special Olympics. Known honorably as Guardians of the Flame, law enforcement members and Special Olympics athletes carry the “Flame of Hope”. Annually, almost 110,000 dedicated and compassionate law enforcement members carry the “Flame of Hope,” symbolizing courage and celebration of diversity uniting communities around the globe.
The impact that Special Olympics makes on the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities goes far beyond the playing field. Our sports, education, health and leadership programs positively impact their lives by instilling self-confidence which carries over into their everyday lives.
Our athletes participate in all our programs at no cost to them or their families. Special Olympics could not possibly offer the excellent opportunities to our athletes without the financial support of people in our local communities.
