Tour De Rhody #8

Day of Ride Information

🕖 REGISTRATION & START

Registration opens at 7:00 AM (not 5, not 6, 7).

  • Long route riders should be on the road by 8:30 AM, medium route riders by 10 AM, and short route riders by 11 AM to ensure all participants return in time to enjoy event festivities by 3:00 PM.
  • Check in when you arrive and check out when you finish—this helps us account for all riders.
  • All riders sign a participant waiver during the registration process. When you check-in on event day, there will be a second town-specific waiver to be completed.

👕 T-SHIRTS & GIVEAWAYS

  • If you registered after September 1, your T-shirt may not be ready on ride day. But don’t worry—we’ll make sure you receive it by mail, delivery, or a later pickup.
  • Other fun giveaways will also be available at the event!

🎽 FUNDRAISER JERSEYS

· Riders who raised $500 or more will receive a special edition Tour de Rhody cycling jersey! The cutoff to earn a cycling jersey is August 1, 2026.

    • $1,000 – Elite Rider – Official Tour de Rhody cycling jersey and bibs
    • $2,000 – Gold Rider – Gold-level cycling jersey and bibs

🚗 PARKING & SUPPORT

· Please follow parking attendants' directions when you arrive.

· SAG support is available if mechanical issues prevent you from finishing. The SAG phone number will be provided at registration.

· Important: We do not offer on-course mechanical support - please come prepared to fix flats or be that person who asks fellow riders for help.

🦺 SAFETY & RIDE ETIQUETTE

· Helmets are mandatory, even if you think you don't need one, you do.

· Blinky lights/safety lights are highly recommended—even for gravel riding.

· Ride safely and respectfully:

  • Stay to the right on roads.
  • Pass on the left and announce your pass.
  • Don’t tailgate other riders.

🥤 REST STOPS

· There will be three rest stops along the routes.

· The first stop is near the start, great for last-minute hydration or gear adjustment.

· At the end of the ride, enjoy food and non-alcoholic beverages. Seating is limited, so feel free to bring a lawn chair or tow one along!

🌦️ WEATHER

  • Rain? Plan to ride wet. We are New Englanders, we're tough
  • Thunderstorms? The ride will be canceled for safety. We are not that tough (There is no rain date.)

Thank you for riding and fundraising in support of Brown University Health Cancer Research. We can’t wait to see you on Sunday, September 13th for an unforgettable ride!
