Make a Splash for Special Olympics Trinity County!
February 20, 2027 @ Indian Creek Lodge
We got our feet wet for the first time at the 2026 Trinity County Polar Plunge to support the brand new Special Olympics program, now let's do it again for 2027! The Plunge is not a swim, it's a party and you're invited to be a part of the coolest community event of the year! Make a splash with costumed friends for the iconic Polar Plunge. Are costumes mandatory, heck no, but they sure are fun!
If you can grin and "bear" it, join us and make a Splash into chilly waters for our Special Olympics athletes! If the thought of chilly water is "unBEARable", get the thrill without the chill. Register as a chicken, raise funds and still enjoy the festivities.
Every Plunger and Chicken needs to raise a minimum of $125 and will receive a Polar Plunge T-shirt and enjoypost Plunge festivities. Additional fundraising is encouraged and cool incentive gifts can be earned. The more you raise, the more we want to thank you!

Your participation will directly support our inclusive sports, health, schools and leadership programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Through Special Olympics, our athletes build friendships, overcome obstacles and are empowered to realize their full potential. Success on the field leads to more opportunities in daily life as the community learns about the unique abilities and contributions of our athletes. All Special Olympics programs are provided at no cost to the athletes and their families thanks to your support.
What can you Expect?
The Polar Plunge is an iconic tradition in Special Olympics in which brave supporters take a chilly winter dip to show their dedication for our athletes. Our Plunge is a family event and costumes are encouraged! You'll have a blast and feel good knowing that the funds you raise will help us change lives.
