Allison Marie Morris was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer at the age of 29. A typically slow growing cancer, prognosis for her recovery was promising. Unfortunately, nothing about her type of cancer was typical and after 17 months of treatment, a declaration of remission, and ultimately a recurrence and terminal diagnosis, Allie passed away. She left behind her loving husband, her parents, her twin sister, and several other family members and friends. After her passing, Allie's family members and friends banded together to form "Allie's Warriors." In the spirit of Allie's giving heart and competitive determination, Allie's Warriors seeks to raise money for cancer research and clinical trials, and share Allie's story to encourage women to make their gynecological health a priority. We are up for the challenge of finding a cure. For the 8th year, Allie's Warriors will be participating in the UMass Cancer Walk and Run. For 26 years this event has raised funds to support the ongoing cancer research and clinical trials occurring at the UMass Cancer Center, and provide hope to cancer patients and their families. We will continue to fight for a cure for all those who have fought, continue to fight, and will fight a cancer diagnosis.
