Welcome to Food Outreach's 2021 Virtual Canned Food Drive - Presented by Tito's Handmade Vodka! Our virtual drive allows you to safely participate in our community’s response to help our neighbors who are struggling with hunger in addition to a diagnosis of HIV or cancer. In 2020, we raised nearly $75,000! Will you help us provide even more nutrition in 2021?
Supporting our virtual food drive is easy. 1 can = $1.00 donation. You can give on your own or build a team and recruit family, friends, neighbors or work colleagues!
Food Outreach has a long history of providing care, through volunteers and staff, with respect and kindness. We remain devoted to the significance of every client we serve, strengthened by their bravery and resilience.
On behalf of our volunteers and donors, we experience the constant expressions of our clients’ gratitude and confidence in Food Outreach. Our clients continue to teach us the profound importance of dignity, of compassion and service to one another.
Thank you for supporting our special agency, Food Outreach!
Sincerely,
Julie Lock

Food Outreach, located in a small building in mid-town St. Louis, welcomes all of our clients no matter where they live, whom they love or which illness they are battling. Through a prescription of healthy meals and meetings with our registered dietitian, our clients build their strength through nutrition, affirmation and compassion. We remain the only organization providing these services in the State of Missouri and Western Illinois.
In 2019, we served 542,000 meals, an average of 10,000 meals per week, to nearly 1,900 people living in 160 zip codes in Missouri and Illinois. Over 72% of our clients live at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level, or $12,760 annual income. Your gift helps us serve our community members and neighbors at no cost to them.
Food Outreach has Missouri Food Pantry Tax Credits available! This program provides a tax credit to any Missouri taxpayer (individual, corporation or trust) that makes an annual financial donation of cash (gifts-in-kind, stocks, and gifts from Donor Advised Funds do not qualify) to Food Outreach greater than $250. The credit is equal to 50% of the donation amount to a maximum of $2,500 per tax year, per tax payer. If married individuals filing jointly make a donation, each spouse may claim up to $2,500.
Those donors who make a monetary contribution of $250 or more during the canned food drive will receive a tax credit form in the mail from Food Outreach in February 2022. The form will be mailed to the address provided at registration. More information can be found at:
