Introducing the L.A. Zoo’s first-ever in-person fundraising walk in support of the Zoo’s vital mission to save wildlife and wild places, happening Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the L.A. Zoo.

Benefiting the Zoo and its nonprofit partner, the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (GLAZA), Walk for the Wild presented by SKECHERS is a fitness and fundraising adventure that starts the moment you register and culminates with a fun early-morning trek through the Zoo’s lush grounds, with views of Masai giraffes, elephants, flamingos, and more.

Here are the steps:

1) Register as an individual or join or start a team. Walk for the Wild is better together!

2) During registration, choose whether to receive a commemorative T-shirt and/or purchase general admission Zoo tickets for the day of the Walk.

3) Start fundraising, beginning with a donation to yourself. Fundraising rewards start at the $150 donation level and include a giraffe plush and limited-edition sustainable merchandise. 4) Join us for the Walk on February 25. Check-in opens at 6 a.m. and the Walk starts at 7:30 a.m. At the end of the route, enjoy a DJ dance party, commemorative photo op, light refreshments, and more at the Walk for the Wild Village until the event's conclusion at 9:45 a.m.

When you register and fundraise for Walk for the Wild, all donations you get between February 14 and 25 will be matched dollar-for-dollar, thanks to a challenge fund provided by a generous anonymous donor. Can't join us at the Zoo for the Walk? You can still help save wildlife by donating. Do it by February 25, and your contribution will be doubled.*

*Qualifying contributions must be made from Tuesday, February 14, through Saturday, February 25, at 11:59 p.m. PST. Please allow up to seven business days for match funds to appear in your personal fundraising total.
