WHAT IS THE YMCA?

The YMCA is a private, not-for-profit human service organization funded by membership and program fees, contributions from YMCA friends, corporations, foundations and grants.


WHY SHOULD I GIVE TO THE YMCA?

Your support is essential for the YMCA to continue offering high-quality programs to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. By contributing, you help strengthen your community, providing young people with growth opportunities, aiding families in managing chronic illness, and giving seniors a sense of belonging. The YMCA enhances your community, making it a better place to live and work.


WHY SHOULD I DONATE TO THE YMCA? I ALREADY PAY MEMBERSHIP DUES.

Membership dues and program fees cover facility and operational costs, while donations to the Annual Campaign fund community-wide programs. Contributions help provide financial assistance to individuals and families who benefit from our programs but cannot afford membership or fees.


HOW WILL MY DONATION BE USED WITH THE BRANCHS BUDGET?

100% of the money raised through our Campaign stays in our community.

Also, 100% of your donation is used directly to support subsidized programs and

scholarships, and no portion of the money is used for administrative costs.


ARE GIFTS TO THE YMCA TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Yes, the YMCA is a 501 c 3 tax-exempt organization. Charitable gifts to the

YMCA is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of tax laws.


I AM NOT A MEMBER, WHY SHOULD I GIVE TO THE YMCA?

Your support is still needed. The YMCA provides meaningful opportunities for young people to grow into responsible adults and provides every participant a safe and loving environment. The YMCA makes your community a better place to live and work.


HOW CAN I MAKE AN IN-PERSON GIFT?

Simply stop by the Member Service Desk and ask for a donation envelop. You can use this envelop to make ne-time a cash or check donation or set up a recurring gift.
