HOW TO RAISE $500 IN 10 DAYS

Asking for donations can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be! 

Use our guide to help you reach and even exceed your fundraising goal!

DAY 1: SELF DONATION

Lead by example to get your fundraising started! Make a self-donation. People will be more likely to support your fundraiser if they see you have, too.

DAY 2: ASK YOUR EMPLOYER

Ask your boss for a company contribution of $50. Check to find out if your company has a Matching Gift Program. Get double the donations with matching gifts! Your donors may be able to check if their employers have a Matching Gift Program, too.

DAY 3: GET SOCIAL

Use your special Monarch Walk URL directing donors to your Donate page. Post a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or other social media account. If you get 5 people to donate $10, you’ve just raised $50!

DAY 4: STEP UP, DRESS DOWN

Ask your company if you can hold a casual dress day at work and charge $5 for everyone to dress down! With 10 co-workers participating, you can add another $50 toward your goal!

DAY 5: ALL IN THE FAMILY

Reach out to three family members and ask them to donate $24 each, getting you $75 closer to your goal!

DAY 6: BUSINESS ASSOCIATES

Ask five companies or businesses your company works with to sponsor you for $10 – that gives you another $50.

DAY 7: BEST FRIENDS

Ask 10 of your closest friends to donate $10 to help you add another $100 to your goal!

DAY 8: MEMBERSHIPS

Ask 10 members from your place of worship, book club, bowling league, cycling club, etc. to contribute $5 each. That’s $50!

DAY 9: MY NEIGHBORHOOD

Ask two neighbors to donate $10 to add another $20!

DAY 10: PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

Ask two businesses you frequent, like your dentist, hair salon, dry cleaner, etc. to give you $15 each to raise the final $30 towards your goal!
