The ROCKRIDE was created in 2004, after founders Bob & Lori Thomas lost their daughter Samantha to Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma just before her third birthday. The annual event has raised over $510,000 for childhood cancer research, as directed by the C17 Research Fund & Childhood Cancer Canada. The C17 Fund directly supports various research projects at the 17 Children’s hospitals across Canada.

    Why Participate?

Approximately 1500 children are diagnosed with cancer in Canada each year. 1 in 5 of them won't survive and those that do often have life-long health issues due to their treatment.

Childhood Cancer Canada and Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation's mission is to change the face of childhood cancer in Canada so that no more parents hear the words "your child has cancer".
