Finding a "Home Away From Home" in a New City
Hear how the Ronald McDonald House provided support to the Rathweg family when their daughter, Bryn, was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. They stayed at the House following the surgery while Bryn underwent radiation and chemotherapy.

Fundraising Ideas
There are many ways to support Red Shoe Day!
- Encourage friends, family, and coworkers to support your fundraising efforts with a donation:
- Email a link to your fundraising page to make it easy to give;
- Select the Facebook icon from your individual fundraising page to automatically create a FB fundraiser that links back to your fundraising page;
- Text REDSHOE to 243 725 to give via cell phone;
- Venmo @RMHC-SD Donations to give directly to the House.
- Make a donation the next time you visit a local McDonald's drive-thru:
- You can donate $1, $2, or $3 at the register at the time of purchase as you drive thru or access the QR code on your receipt to give after your visit.
- Shop at Tory Burch in Fashion Valley Mall on Thursday, June 3rd:
- 20% of the proceeds will benefit our San Diego Ronald McDonald House!
- Can't make it that day? Contact adsoto@toryburch.com to schedule a virtual appointment on June 4th or 5th and 20% of proceeds will still go to the House.

What your Gift Will Do
Your gift will help families find stability and peace of mind with rest, nourishment, and connections with others in similar situations. Best of all, you'll help hospitalized children benefit from the love and care of their families when it matters most.
All money raised from Red Shoe Day will support the Home Fund, underwriting the core mission services of Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. Temporary lodging, meals, and other life necessities at San Diego's Ronald McDonald House help to sustain families whose lives have been turned upside down by their child's diagnosis and treatment. By providing an unrestricted gift to our Home Fund, you are supporting our highest and most urgent needs as determined by our volunteer Board of Trustees.
