2023 Women Swimmin' for Hospicare

Women Swimmin' for Hospicare is a community event that raises money for Hospicare & Palliative Care Services.

This year I will be participating in my 10th! Women Swimmin’ for Hospicare event. On the morning of August 12th, I will once again join over 300 women and swim the 1.2 mile route from the east side of Cayuga Lake to the west shoreline at the Ithaca Yacht Club.

The funds I raise will provide medical expertise and emotional, spiritual and practical support to patients and their families.

I am swimming in memory of my grandmother, Dorothy Ibert. During the last months of her life in 2008, my grandmother was tremendously grateful for the care she received from her local hospice in Columbia County. It is my honor to raise money to benefit my local Hospicare and Palliative Care Services of Tompkins County so that people in my community can receive similar quality care and support.
