Social Media Tips:

  •  Make sure you follow Women Swimmin’ on Facebook and Hospicare on Instagram.
  • Attach a photo to your post to make it more visual - post anything from a photo of yourself and your fundraising efforts to the logo for the event.
  •  You can find the direct link to your personal page under the Personal Page tab on your fundraising page. Under “Personal Page URL” click on “URL Settings” to customize your URL link and then copy the URL to be included in your social media posts.
  • Use a URL shortener like Bitly https://bitly.com/ to shorten links you may be trying to include in social media posts. This is especially helpful for getting around twitter’s 140-character limit.
  • When you get a donation from anyone, thank them with a post on social media. Write about how you know this person and how much you appreciate their friendship. Include a link to your WS page to make it easy for anyone reading to donate also. You will be surprised at the momentum this process builds. Everyone seems to want to participate and see what you will write about them when THEY donate!
