Women Swimmin' for Hospicare is a community event that raises money for Hospicare & Palliative Care Services.
Once again, I am swimming in honour of my mum, Betty Cohen, who battled breast cancer three times before it eventually defeated her at 86. Betty's last few months were filled with love, laughter, and tender care by the amazing nursing staff and volunteers at the nursing home where she was being looked after. We are so grateful for the amazing care she received, and the support and love that we, her family, also received. I am raising money for Hospicare to make sure that others can be sure that they receive similar assistance when their need is there.
