All funds raised through AIDS WALK Charlotte stay in our community and go to support the services and programs RAIN provides. Your gift makes a real impact in the lives of people living with HIV and those at risk. Through RAIN's services and programs, in 2020:

626 people living with HIV accessed vital medical care and supportive resources tailored for their individual needs.

117 individuals at risk for HIV engaged in health care and received support through our PrEP program, a 30% increase in clients served over 2019.

69 youth and young adults received peer counseling, medical case management and support in learning to live with HIV through our Empowering Positive Youth program.

329 people living with HIV gained health insurance that meets their unique health needs through our benefits advocacy program.

79 youth, adults and seniors engaged in mental health counseling, a highly requested resource during the COVID-19 pandemic.

22 individuals enrolled in research studies that are developing social media apps to support HIV prevention efforts.

RAIN continues to remain relevant by keeping the needs of each individual at the forefront of how services are implemented. Even with the challenges presented by COVID-19 in 2020, RAIN's programs operated at full capacity with full staffing, serving nearly as many clients as in 2019. This success is a testimony to the perseverance of RAIN's compassionate staff.
