Whether you are newly diagnosed or years into survivorship, we look forward to meeting you, your family, and friends! Below is information about our event and survivor activities.
Event Details
Arrival / check-In
We ask everyone who attends our event to register! There is no cost for walkers to register and a fee $35 for timed runners. Please share your team’s unique URL link with friends and family who plan on joining you!
5K walk, 5K run, and 1.87 mile walk
Enjoy the walk/run course that takes you through the park.
Running awards
We have a special Survivor Award Category for the 5K run! The top 3 survivor finishers will receive a Together in Teal medal!
Sun and skin protection
Many medications can make you sensitive to the sun. Please wear sunscreen and bring an umbrella if you need extra coverage.
Survivor Fun!
Survivor Pavilion
We welcome anyone who has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer to join us at our Survivor Celebration Pavilion. Receive your commemorative t-shirt, leave your handprint on our annual Survivor Banner, and grab your teal beads and ribbon wands for the opening ceremony. A survivor and guest enjoy a little sisterhood along with breakfast provided by Solterra/Sudexo. If you don't feel like walking there will be plenty of people to keep you company in the survivor tent.
Survivor swag
Please stop by the survivor tent to receive your bib, Survivor T-Shirt, beads, and more. Everyone loves swag, and this year, we have an assortment of give of wonderful items and coupons.
Handprint banner
Place your handprint (we have gloves & paint) and leave your mark!
Teal beads
Receive a strand of teal beads to wear at the event. One strand is given to mark each year since your original diagnosis. Beads strung together form a physical symbol of each survivors recovery. A record of diagnosis, recurrences, doctor's visits, hospital stays, and treatments. Each string of teal beads represent the number of years of survivorship.
Complimentary breakfast
We are pleased to have Solterra and Sudexo host this year's Survivor Pavilion. They will be providing breakfast for you and a plus one. This will include a breakfast burrito, fruit, juice, coffee, and more.
More Than Just a Run/Walk!
Spirit Tent
Enjoy activities for the whole family. Show your support and excitement here, where you can have fun at the photo booth, create walk signs, have your face painted, and much more.
Chance to Win Tent
Shop for our cause! Whether you're looking for the perfect holiday gift or want to treat yourself to something special, here you'll be able to take your chance on some incredible prizes. Plan on high-spirited fun at the silent auction and raffle. Win some amazing items donated by local businesses. Bids and ticket sales begin at 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Cost: 1 ticket for $3, 1/2 sheet of tickets $15, and a full sheet of tickets $30. We accept credit cards, cash, and checks. You must be present to win. Winners will be placed on the winner's board at 11:30 AM.
Facebook
Create a Facebook Fundraiser! Simply log in to your dashboard, look for "connect to Facebook," and create a page! Your fundraising will support the many programs of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
Here are some fun and easy fundraising ideas. We also have some great incentives, including an entry to winning two round-trip American Airlines tickets for every $250 raised!
Pathways of Hope
See your healthcare team in the “lights”! Do you think the world of your doctor, nurse, or healthcare team? Would they want to see their name and logo on our run/walk path as part of our PATHWAYS OF HOPE? For more information on Pathways of Hope, simply download this FLYER and send it to your healthcare team so they can support you and the community.
2024 Together in TEAL T-Shirts
All registered participants who raise a minimum of $100 will receive a 2024 Together in TEAL® event t-shirt.
All registered survivors will receive a complimentary special survivor t-shirt celebrating and honoring their role in our 2024 Together in TEAL ® event regardless of fundraising level. Registered survivors who raise $100 or more will receive two t-shirts - a TEAL survivor t-shirt and 2024 Together in TEAL® event t-shirt.
You will pick up your t-shirt at the Rewards Tent (for those who have fundraised $100+).
