THE HUNT is a county-wide scavenger hunt and peer-to-peer fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County. Running April 19th-May 12th, THE HUNT features fun and engaging Missions that get folks outside and exploring Dane County. Participants can form teams up to 6 people, so grab friends, family, colleagues, Bigs, Littles, and anyone else who likes having fun for a good cause! 

New to THE HUNT? Here is how it works:

1. Register and Join a Team: Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for Bigs in our program. All kids under 18 are free, including Littles. Your registration includes a free T-shirt and some goodies from local businesses. You can register others at the same time you register yourself, but just make sure you include email addresses (for adults) so they receive updates about THE HUNT. Once you're registered, you'll be prompted to join an existing team or create your own, and then you can invite others to join! Ideal team size is around 4 people. This will help you divide up the Missions and increase your ability to complete more Missions. If you want to help in connecting with another individuals or pairs to make your team please contact HUNT organizer, Bethany Ordaz bordaz@bbbsmadison.org

2. Start Fundraising: A personalized fundraising page will be created for you with tools to help you ask for donations via social media, email and text. THE HUNT doesn't officially start until April 19th, but you can earn points for Early Bird Missions as soon as you start fundraising. Remember, the more money your raise, the more children you impact, and the more points you earn on THE HUNT!

3. Get HUNTing & Have Fun! After registering, HUNTers will receive an email with all the important event details (including download instructions for GooseChase, our scavenger hunt app). Once you're all set up, your team can start earning points and competing for prizes! The more you fundraise and the more Missions you complete, the higher you'll climb on the GooseChase Leaderboard, and there are BIG prizes up for grabs! But don't fret if you're not leading the pack. We'll be giving out a variety of prizes throughout THE HUNT, so everyone has a chance to win BIG! 

Event Timeline

March 1st-April 19th: General Registration

April 17th-18th: T-shirt and materials pick-up

April 19th: THE HUNT begins!  

April 19th-May 12th: Registration still open--late HUNTers welcome!

May 12th: THE HUNT ends!
