Why Participate?

You are helping Special Olympics change lives!

The impact that Special Olympics makes on the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities goes far beyond the playing field. Our sports, education, health and leadership programs positively impact their lives by instilling self-confidence which carries over into their everyday lives.

Our athletes participate in all our programs at no cost to them or their families. Special Olympics could not possibly offer the excellent opportunities to our athletes without the financial support of people in our local communities.

Volunteer Opportunities Available

We have plenty of opportunities and all of the are important to the success of the event.  These are great opportunities for local clubs and organizations as well as school groups.  There are several job duties and time shifts available.  Now is the chance to make a difference in your local community.  Contact Celia for details at CeliaG@sonc.org.
