Welcome bags

Once a patient is admitted to the Jennifer Lawrence Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, they will receive a Brave Hearts bag filled with resources and items for both them and their families to use during their stay. 

Bags include: 

• Travel kit (women/men)
• Shampoo & conditioner
• Dry shampoo
• Tooth brush
• Facial cleansing cloths
• Liquid soap
• Razors
• Chap stick
• Pocket tissues
• Hand sanitizer
• Hand lotion
• Phone chargers
• Blankets, variety of sizes (infant to adult) 
• Additional branded items provided by Norton Children's Hospital Foundation (i.e. notebook, pen, etc.)

Blankets for Brave Hearts

A sibling of one of our Brave Hearts wanted to give back to other heart patients because she understands the heart journey first hand. This is where Blankets for Brave Hearts began. 

Prior to the opening of the Jennifer Lawrence Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, the Sacred Heart Junior Varsity Volleyball Team decided to make baked goods to sell at each of their home games this season to benefit Norton Children's Heart Institute. The proceeds from their sales were used to purchase fabric so they team could make blankets for heart patients.
