September 9 - first responders from the Lehigh Acres, San Carlos Park, South Trail, Bonita Springs, Estero Fire Districts, City of Sanibel Police, as well as Lee County EMS, will be shaved.
September 10 - The Mighty Mussels will host a shaving of players and staff at the game against the St. Lucie Mets at 7:05 a.m. The organization will donate $4 for each ticket purchased through this link https://fevo.me/barbarasfriends [fevo.me] for the game to Barbara’s Friends.
September 14 through September 28 - Dunkin' is Shining Gold in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month at its Florida restaurants. For every $2 in-store donation, guests will receive a Gold Joy Donut as a "thank you." Thanks to the generosity of Dunkin' franchisees, like Michael Koroghlian, throughout Southwest Florida, all proceeds from the Dunkin' Gold Joy Donut will be granted locally to Barbara's Friends through the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation.
September 18 – In celebration of their 8th year anniversary, Bruno’s of Brooklyn Italian Eatery, located in downtown Ft. Myers, will host “Brunch for the Brave” to raise funds for Barbara’s Friends. The event will be from noon to 3 p.m. The Bruno’s of Brooklyn family would love for you to come out and enjoy our brunch! A suggested donation of $50 for brunch will go to Clips for Cancer.
September 20 - Chicken Salad Chick will celebrate their grand opening in Fort Myers by presenting a check to Barbara’s Friends as part of their ribbon cutting.
September 23 - Riverdale High School will, for the third year in a row, be supporting Clips for Cancer as part of their homecoming game. Several coaches will be shaving their heads with Barbara’s Friends cancer survivors as part of the school’s pep rally that day. The school is also selling t-shirts designed by current leukemia patient, Jahely Martinez and hopes to raise more than $5,000 to donate to Barbara’s Friends.
September 23 - Mel’s Diner 5 locations (Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Naples, and Golden Gate) will be hosting an $8 donation breakfast. For $8 donation diners can enjoy a free breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage, and coffee or juice. Stop by all weekend for other events happening all weekend! All proceeds will be donated directly to Barbara’s Friends – Clips for Cancer.
September 24 - Lily Pulitzer at Coconut Point - Shop today from 10am - 9pm and Lily will donate 10% of the dales sales to Barbara's Friends - Clips for Cancer
September all month long - 3 Pepper Burrito with 8 locations throughout SWFL will be donating all proceeds from all kids meals sold during the month of September to benefit Barbara’s Friends. Co-Owner Justin O’Brien serves on Barbara’s Friends Advisory Board. This is the third year 3 Peppers has supported during September, raising almost $9,000 to date.
September all month long - Pure Barre, Fort Myers and Gateway, along with Cycle Bar, Fort Myers at Bell Tower will be hosting several donation classes throughout the month of September to support kids with cancer at Golisano. Barbara’s Friends Advisory Board Member, Jenna Montone is organizing the effort which in the past has raised over $4,000 for Barbara’s Friends.
