LGBTQ+ Coffee Chat for GBS, CIDP, MMN & Variant Conditions

About LGBTQ+ Coffee Chat for GBS, CIDP, MMN & Variant Conditions

Join us for a special LGBTQ+ Coffee Chat, created specifically for individuals in the LGBTQ+ community who are living with GBS, CIDP, MMN, or a related variant condition. This virtual gathering is a safe, welcoming space where participants can share openly, connect authentically, and feel understood—both in their health journey and in their personal life.

This chat serves to provide participants with a comfortable, respectful environment to express their experiences and emotions in the context of who they are, alongside others who truly understand what it means to navigate life with a rare condition.

Meet Your Coffee Chat Hosts:

Russ is a Foundation volunteer & Board Member who had GBS in 2005. He discovered the Foundation during his recovery and decided that serving as a liaison would be a great way of helping others going through GBS and related disorders. He additionally serves on the Foundation board of directors, and recently related his experience with GBS in a video produced by Annexon Bio and a podcast produced by RareCast.

Valentina lives in Mexico, she had GBS as a baby in 1984, has been volunteering for the Foundation since 2012 when she attended a Symposium in Forth Worth, Texas and now serves as a Board of Directors member.

Who Should Attend:

This event is open to LGBTQ+ individuals who are living with GBS, CIDP, MMN, or a related variant condition and are looking to connect with others who share similar lived experiences. It’s an ideal space for those seeking mutual support, encouragement, and the reassurance of knowing they are not alone.

Seating is limited for this event. Once registration is full, additional sign-ups will not be available. If you register but are unable to attend, please contact the Foundation at events@gbs-cidp.org so we can offer your spot to someone on the waiting list.
