2023 Walk Against Hunger

Walk Day Schedule

Saturday, May 20, 2023 - Dunkin' Park, Hartford, CT

8:00 AM - Check-in opens, entertainment and family activities begin

9:30 AM - Walk program begins with local media personalities, Renee DiNino from the River 105.9 and Scot Haney from Channel 3

10:00 AM - Walk steps off, the route is 1.5 miles, starting and ending at Dunkin' Park

If you are unable to join us on Walk day, you can still support our event by donating online and participating virtually by walking your own 1.5 mile route and using #ctfoodsharewalk on social media.

Event Safety

Connecticut Foodshare is committed to keeping our participants as safe as possible. 

  • We follow the guidelines of Dunkin’ Park, our host sponsor for this event.
  • All in-person walkers are required to register.  During the registration process, walkers will be asked to acknowledge our safety waiver.


Street Address - 1214 Main Street, Hartford, CT 06103

From the West - Take 84 East to Exit 50 (Main Street). Take Exit 50 toward Main St. Use the left lane to merge onto Chapel St S. Turn left onto Trumbull St. Use the middle lane to turn left onto Main St.

From the East - Take 84 West to Exit 50 (US-44 W/Morgan Street). Follow I-91 S/Main St. Take a slight right onto Main St.

From the North - Take 91 South to Exit 32A - 32B (Trumbull St). Continue straight onto Trumbull St.

From the South - Take 91 North to Exit 32A - 32B (Market St). Use the left lane to take Exit 32A-32B for Trumbull St. Continue straight onto Trumbull St.

Free Parking:

Free parking is available on a first come, first served basis at 1181 Main Street and 300 Market Street. Parking is courtesy of our event parking partners, Hartford Parking Authority and LAZ Parking.

$5 Parking:

  • 1000 Main Street, Hartford, CT 06103
  • MAT Garage, 55 Chapel Street South, Hartford, CT 06103

ADA Parking: All lots have handicapped parking; the closest lot to Dunkin' Park is 1000 Main Street.

Fundraising Prizes

The Connecticut Foodshare Walk Against Hunger is a free event with no registration fee or minimum donation. Participants are encouraged to raise funds for their chosen benefiting partner program. 

  • First 1,000 attendees to arrive at Dunkin' Park will receive a free Drawstring Bag
  • Individuals that raise $100+ will receive a Connecticut Foodshare branded cross-body bag as a thank you for raising funds for this important cause

The free drawstring bag and those that earned a Connecticut Foodshare branded cross-body bag through their fundraising efforts, will receive these items on Walk Day on May 20th at Dunkin' Park on a first come, first served basis.
