Meet our 2025 Cycle on Life Champion: Bob Sokalski!
A dedicated supporter of Riverview Health Centre since 1998, Bob Sokalski brings heart, history, and deep personal connection to this year’s Cycle on Life. As the former Chair of the Fundraising and Special Projects Committee, Bob helped launch the very first Cycle on Life ride creating meaningful impact for those receiving care at Riverview. Bob then went on to spend the next 24 years on the Board, including 2 years as Board Chair.
Having grown up in the neighbourhood, Bob has seen firsthand how Riverview supports individuals and families through some of life’s most vulnerable moments - including many of his own loved ones.
Being named Cycle on Life Champion is an honour Bob holds close, especially as he follows CFL Hall of Famer Bob Cameron who was the very first Cycle on Life Champion. He reminds us that the need for care isn’t a matter of if, but when. And that many of the programs that improve residents’ quality of life are made possible through donor support.
With strong ties to the Winnipeg Steelers and the Blue Bombers Alumni Association, Bob continues to rally his community around this cause. On June 8, he and longtime friend George Andrews will ride 65 kilometres to St. Adolphe and back on their tandem mountain bike - no skinny tires in sight!
Join Bob and ride in support of compassionate care at Riverview. Let’s ride together on June 8!
