Only 52% of shelters in the US are able to provide legal services to survivors. 

Last year, EVE’s legal services team provided legal support and advocacy to 243 survivors- at no cost. But even our dedicated team can’t fully meet the demand. Our attorney is already at max capacity meaning that not all survivors have access to the legal representation that they need.

Courts are already a place where survivors face re-victimization; from having to appear in front of their abusers to becoming financially drained from continued court appearances survivors are in need of legal representation. That is why we are asking for your donation today. Your donation means a survivor will not have to navigate the legal system alone, that someone will be in their corner when they stand up to their abuser, and they will have access to legal help for civil matters such as landlord-tenet issues, child custody and divorce at no cost to the survivor.
