Willkie Days Five in 50 Covered Bridge Ride

Come for the Ride - Stay for the Weekend!  

Willkie Days provides fun for the entire family with a whole weekend of activities.  This includes:

  • ​The Rush County Historical Society Museum at 619 N Perkins will be open from noon-4pm.  Come learn more about the Kennedy family that built our bridges and see the sales model that was built for meetings with prospective clients.  The museum is also celebrating the grand opening of the carriage house.
  • From 2-4pm, the Rush County Genealogical Society will be hosting a Scavenger hunt at East Hill cemetery for ages 6-adult.  Prizes will be given for 1st ($50), second, ($35) and third  ($20) places.  This cemetery at 704 E State Road 44  was established in 1859 is the resting place of Wendell Willkie.  (Anyone under 16 years needs to be accompanied by an adult.)
  • The 3rd Annual Student Art show will display works of art from 9am- 2 pm at 201 N Main St.

  • There will be a Kids Party Barn for petting and pictures and The Rushville Public Library.  The event will run from noon-2pm at 130 W 3rd street.
