WHAT IS THE POLAR PLUNGE?
The Polar Plunge is a crazy event where people brave chilly waters to support Special Olympics Fort Bragg! All funds raised by Plungers & Chickens will support the year-round programs that Special Olympics athletes enjoy in the Fort Bragg area for free.

So how does it work?
Participants must raise a minimum of $125 to participate. You'll receive a Polar Plunge t-shirt as our thanks! Raise more and you can earn more cool stuff (and our deepest gratitude).
Step 1. Register
- Get registered and select your registration type. If the thrill of the chill is not your thing, you can register as a chicken and be excused from getting wet.
- Set your fundraising goal. You must raise a minimum of $125 so that's a good place to start. But the sky's the limit and we've got cool swag you can earn at the $300, $500, $1,000 and $2,500 levels!
- Ask your friends, family, and co-workers to join your team. The bigger the team, the better! (You can Plunge as an individual but you'll have a heck of a lot of fun with friends)!
Step 2. Fundraise 💸
- We understand that asking people for money can feel awkward. But seeking donations via email, text and social media makes it easy. Plus we've got some fundraising resources that will help! 🚀
- Donations can be made online or by check. 💵
Step 3. Plunge! ❄️
- When you arrive at your Plunge, get ready to have a blast! Stop by the registration area where you will check-in and pick up your Polar Plunge t-shirt. (Any other incentives you earn will be mailed to you). 🎓
- Make your way to the pre-Plunge area and join other brave souls and get psyched up to take your chilly dip. ⛺
- READY, SET, PLUNGE! 🏊♀️❄️
- After you Plunge, dry off and share your accomplishments with your donors and friends on social media! Your fundraising page will remain open through the end of the Plunge season to receive more donations.
