Housing Assistance invites you to Give Hope Where You Live (GHWYL)! In the spirit of the season, organize a donation drive and start collecting essential items + gift cards that will GIVE HOPE to our neighbors in need.

As the days grow shorter and the weather grows colder, we ask you to join us on the frontlines of the Cape and Islands' housing crisis. The items on our GHWYL Wishlist may seem small (e.g. Items for Daily Living, Shelter Guest Care Packages, Welcome Home Baskets) but for someone experiencing homelessness or moving into permanent housing, these items represent comfort, dignity, and a new start.

Join us for our 3rd Annual Give Hope Where You Live Collection & Celebration — a community fundraiser dedicated to supporting our neighbors facing housing instability across Cape Cod and the Islands. 

Drop off new essential items, give gift cards, connect with fellow community members, and help us bring warmth, dignity, and comfort to individuals and families who need it most this winter. Together, we can ensure that hope begins right here at home!

*Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring a $25 Stop & Shop gift card. These gifts are requested all year-round as they enable locals to purchase groceries and gas.

WAYS TO GIVE HOPE​

HOST A DONATION DRIVE

    1. Register Your Drive by December 1 - Our team will reach out to confirm your drive and share the Donation Drive Toolkit.
    2. Plan Your Drive - Review the GHWYL Wish List, decide what items you want to collect, and set goals. Housing Assistance can only accept new, unopened items for our clients.
    3. Start Your Drive - Collect items anytime leading up to December 10. Coordinate your own collection or invite your supporters to deliver donations during the GHWYL Collection & Celebration (12/10).

GIVE GIFT CARDS

Give the gift of choice to locals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. To get started, download the Gift Card Drives Flyer and Donation Form.

    Holiday Gift Cards give parents the opportunity to purchase holiday presents for their children.

    Hardship Gift Cards help individuals and families in crisis the opportunity to meet basic needs.
