Hike for Hope supporting Hope Hospice
Hike for Hope

About Hike for Hope

Due to the uncertainty surrounding our public health crisis, Hope Hospice unfortunately has canceled Hike for Hope 2020 which has been scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd.

This was a heart-breaking decision to make as we know how much Hike for Hope means to so many families and friends who gather to enjoy the outdoors and to honor or remember loved ones. For this reason, we are looking to hold an informal group hike at Del Valle Regional Park in the fall. We'll provide more details about this later this this year.

Hike for Hope is also an important fundraiser for Hope Hospice, as it raises critical support for our patient care, grief support and community education programs on which so many families depend.

Though we've closed the 2020 registration link for Hike for Hope, donations to the event can still be accepted.

We'll reopen registration in January, 2021.

For those who have already paid the event registration fee, please send us an email with your choice of the following options.

*Request a refund.
*Request that your donation be applied to the 2021 event.
*Request that your original payment remain as a tax-deductive donation to Hope Hospice. Your original email confirmation serves as your receipt for tax purposes.

We also want to thank our early corporate sponsors who pledged their generous support for this year's event:

Thank you for our many in-kind donors to the event, including CLIF Bar, Ising's Culligan Water, and so many other local businesses! Your continued support helps make the event better every year.

Thank you so much to the Hike For Hope Planning Committee, and to the volunteers who committed to helping us with the event.

Many thanks also to the Team Captains who returned and recruited their team members and focused on achieving their fundraising goal for Hope Hospice.

And thank you to the individual participants and donors in supporting Hike for Hope.

Rest assured, we will come back stronger and better than ever with a beautiful event in 2021. We thank you for your support and will see you out at Del Valle Regional Park soon!

Hope Hospice is fully operational and continues to serve the residents of Contra Costa and Eastern Alameda counties. As we focus the needs of our patients and families, and on the safety and well-being of our staff and volunteers, our thoughts and best wishes go out to the many families in the region who are directly affected by the COVID-19 virus.

We hope that everyone remains safe and well as we weather this crisis together.

Join the Fun and Help a Great Cause!

Hike for Hope is a celebration of the outdoors and, for many participants, a remembrance of family and other loved ones who have departed us. It's also a fundraiser for Hope Hospice, which has been caring for families throughout the Tri-Valley and neighboring East Bay cities since 1980.

All of the hike's net proceeds help Hope Hospice care for more than 650 patients and their families each year.

Hope helps patients affirm life and live every day to the fullest by providing high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care, grief support services, and community education.

As a community-driven non-profit organization, Hope Hospice serves everyone regardless of their insurance or income status, nation of origin, or religion. Your donation enables Hope to provide these services throughout the year.

As we celebrate our 40th Anniversary, help us continue to support others with exceptional care, compassion, and dignity. Help make a difference in your own community.

Hope Hospice is 501(c)(3) organization. Federal Tax ID 94-2576059.
