What is the Hike for Hope?
For more than 30 years, the Hike for Hope (formerly the Hike or Bike) has brought together people of all ages in support of the parents and children that Family Promise of Bergen County serves. All proceeds raised from the event will directly support Family Promise's programs, which provide housing and wrap-around support to working families experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in our community.
Who is Family Promise of Bergen County?
Family Promise of Begen County is a Ridgewood, NJ-based non-profit dedicated to helping working families facing housing insecurity to regain stability and permanent self-sufficiency. For more than 40 years, we have empowered parents with the resources and tools needed to build a brighter future for themselves and their children, such as temporary housing, homeless prevention services, personalized case management, financial education, job training, and more. Additionally, we are committed to combating food insecurity in our community through the Family Promise Walk-in Dinner, our nightly meal distribution program in Hackensack, which has served over 1.5 million meals to our neighbors in need since 1991.
