About Havinawalk

Join us for our first ever Havinawalk on Sunday, April 18!

Gather in-person at The Weber School or join virtually as we walk to support the PAL Program of JF&CS, Atlanta's only Jewish Big Brother/Big Sister program. Walkers can enjoy a short course, COVID-friendly experiences and witness first hand the impact the PAL Program has on the Atlanta community. Havinawalk is for Big and Little PALs to attend together, alumni of the program and community members. Thank you for supporting this great program and event!

Havinwalk Activities Include:

-Dancing with the DJ

-Life sized Jenga and Connect Four

-Roaming photo booth by Button It Up

-Complimentary falafel and french fries from the Adama Street Food truck

-Chalk Art

-Come leap like a frog and hop like a bunny with us on the Little Track

T-shirt options are now closed. There will be t-shirts at the event on April 18th. Registering by March 31st was the only way to guarantee your official Havinawalk t-shirt, designed by a LITTLE PAL!

Why Participate?

Havinawalk supports the PAL Program - Atlanta’s only Jewish Big Brother Big Sister Program. The JF&CS PAL Program matches Little PALs ages 5 to 17 with Big PALs in a mentorship program. Little PALs have a variety of family situations—often raised by single parents, grandparents, legal guardians, or they may have siblings with developmental disabilities. This mentorship provides Littles with a role model and a friend.

Prior to Covid-19, Big and Little PALs would get together twice a month or more for some one-on-one time and participate in activities enjoyed by Little Pals. However, due to the pandemic, PAL matches have only been seeing each other virtually through Facetime, Zoom and a lot of text messages. Although the programming has changed, the PAL Program has not slowed down with over 40 matches made in the last 12 months! The dollars raised through Havinawalk enable JF&CS to continue to serve the Atlanta Jewish community through The PAL Program.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Your support enables the 30-year-old PAL Program to thrive and grow! Your contributions make PAL matches and life-long friendships. The need for connection and mentorship is even more crucial during this difficult time and Big PALs can make a huge difference.
