Leighah is a local girl, growing up in Marengo, Indiana, homeschooled and received her bachelor’s degree in general studies and a Minor in Sociology from Indiana University Southeast.
Leighah has held a leadership position in Child Welfare for the past eleven (11) years, is married with two sons nine (9) and two (2).
When asked about her interest in music, she points back to growing up in a home where music was being played all the time and her dad’s passion for playing guitar. In fact, her dad loved the country classics like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn. Her Mom was more of a Prince, Queen, and Culture Club kind of girl.
“For me, I loved it all and would sing along. Give me a beat and an audience and I’d sing and dance to anything.”
“ I love karaoke- Anytime I can jump on stage and sing; I don’t turn it down.”
For me, I’m a country girl at heart but really love getting a crowd pumped up and feeling electric. I’m all about glitter, glam and a great show.
When not working, Leighah enjoys cooking and making sweet treats for her family and friends. She is also a Zumba instructor and the Easter Bunny around Easter for local charities and events.
Performing at LifeSpan Resources Voice and Vino, Leighah stated, “What a great way to show support to such a wonderful organization and have fun!” “What a small thing for me to participate in something that can have such a big impact on the communities served by this program.”
