Why Participate

Anyone can get sick and everyone can help! Support your neighbors living with serious illnesses by signing up to track your runs / walks / bike rides during the month of October while fundraising for Food & Friends. You will help provide over 1.8 million home-delivered meals to more than 5,500 neighbors living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, diabetes and other life challenging illnesses, including their dependents and caregivers. Set a fundraising goal and personal activity goal (optional) or team up with a friend or your organization to make an impact today.

Each $30 registration fee provides one full day of home-delivered, medically tailored meals and nutrition counseling to an individual living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, heart failure or another life challenging illness.

By giving a little time and moving during the month of October, you will bring health and hope to a sick neighbor. Plus, we'll kick the competition into high gear with raffle prizes for top individuals and teams in activity points and fundraising!

How Your Support Makes a Difference

We are neighbors helping neighbors. We believe that everyone managing a serious illness should have the nourishment they need to improve their health and enhance their quality of life. Your participation will help raise funds to provide specialized meals that are designed to meet the medical and dietary needs of each of our clients. We believe that no one is immune from illness, regardless of demographics or economic status.

Demand for Food & Friends' medically tailored meals has increased significantly over the last few years. Our Move for Meals goal is to raise funds to provide 20,000 home-delivered, medically tailored meals and nutrition counseling serve adults, children and families living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses throughout the Washington, D.C. area.

Your registration of $30 equals one full day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) of home-delivered, medically tailored meals.
