Do It Yourself (DIY) Fundraising Achievements

To help our resilient Lilly and her strong fight against ulcerative colitis.
In an effort to raise awareness and support for a cure for Crohn's and colitis, I
am challenging myself to 3 miles a day for the next
100 days. With every 3 miles I will wear a purple ribbon so at the end I
should be wearing 100 ribbons and will have run a total of 300 miles. You may
ask why the purple ribbon; The purple ribbon represents the approximate
3.1 million people in the U.S. that battle with these chronic diseases daily.
My inspiration came from my girlfriend who fights strongly against ulcerative colitis,
and unfortunately has recently been struggling with another flare (an active episode of the disease). I do this for her – both to show my support and to help find a cure for IBD. I certainly will not limit myself to
my personal runs, I will complete competitions, along with
showcasing bow skills as well. Every post will have an update of my progress, a fact about IBD (the umbrella term for Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis), and small goals I wish to accomplish.
Thank you for joining me on this journey.
