About the EFEPA

We are here for you, as we have been for 48 years.

The Epilepsy Foundation Eastern PA (EFEPA) is leading the fight to end epilepsy and overcome the challenges created by seizures in our 18-county service area. We offer a range of free programs, resources and services to empower and improve the lives of the estimated 110,000 individuals living with epilepsy in eastern PA. Our mission is to stop seizures and SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy), find a cure and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy through efforts including education, advocacy and research.

It is the EFEPA’s vision to create a seizure safe community where people impacted by epilepsy can experience the understanding, support and care they deserve to live their fullest, happiest and healthiest lives.

Key programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Community education through conferences, workshops and awareness events
  • Seizure training and recognition programs for schools, first responders and businesses
  • Legal and medical referrals
  • Children and family services
  • Adult resource services including the Adult Wellness Weekend
