Q: When and where is the walk/run event?
A: Saturday June 10th 8am to 1pm: Phalen Park Picnic Pavilion - 1600 Phalen Drive - Saint Paul, MN 55106 USA
Q: What should I bring?
A: Plan to bring cash, a charged cell phone, and anything you need to complete the walk/run. If bringing a child that needs a stroller/wagon, you must bring your own - please be aware of others on the course and let runners/walkers pass you by.
Q: What should I wear?
A: June can be warm, chilly, rainy, sunny, or overcast. It is best to dress for the elements of the day. A good pair of tennies, hat, sunglasses, etc....dress for the weather and the walk/run. We encourage you to wear fun outfits if you want, theme out your team or rock it solo! Youth can wear superhero or themed outfits if they wish!
Q: Will the walk/run be canceled if it is raining?
A: Whether it is rain or shine, we will only cancel the event if there is significant severe weather (i.e. lightning, hail, extreme winds, etc). Come prepared for any weather condition - a little fun in the rain never hurts!
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Dogs are allowed at the event for a $10 registration fee per dog. ALL dogs must be leashed, good in large crowds and around other dogs and children. If a dog displays any aggression, you will be asked to leave and entrance fees will NOT be refunded.
Q: What will the event look like?
A: Check-in pens at 8am. After check-in you can enjoy the many wellness vendor booths that will be set up. You can grab a snack, drink, and enjoy some music from the DJ. Morning yoga in the park will be at 8:15am and kids dash kicks us off at 8:45am. All walk/run participants will start at 9am. after you complete the 5k you can enjoy refreshments back at the pavilion with music, wellness booths, and awards.
Q: Is this a timed event?
A: Yes! Each participant in the 5K will be given a bib with a chip that tracks time.
Q: Will runners be released first?
A: Yes! Runners will be released first at the starting line, with walkers behind them and then those in wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons released last.
Q: What awards will be offered?
A: Top fundraising team, top fundraising individual, and our top 3 winners (regardless of gender) for time to complete the 5K.
Q: What if I cannot make it to the event, is my registration fee refundable?
A: We understand that sometimes plans have to change. We will be sad to not see you there, but registration fees will not be refundable.
Q: What if I don't want to participate in the walk/run but still want to help fundraise?
A: No problem! Simply navigate to our registration page and select "Virtual Fundraiser". You can still make a custom fundraising page to share out with friends and family, but this does not come with race admission so it is free to select!
Q: When is the last day to register?
A: Online registration will close the day prior. In-person registration will be available onsite one hour prior to the start of the race. Please note that day of registration is $45 for all ages 2+.
Q: If I reach my fundraising goal of $250, when will I get my T-Shirt?
A: T-shirts will be given out at check-in on the day of the event for those who reach the $250 fundraising goal.
