About Paces for Faces Walk Along 2023

After a fantastic experience last year, we invite you all to join us again for the Paces for Faces Hybrid Walkalong! 
We were thrilled to be able to meet the needs of so many families last year by offering a hybrid walk with the option to walk in your own backyard or together with other families in Wakefield. For those who were able to join us, it was wonderful to bring back that sense of community that comes from walking together around the lake. This year, we are returning with this format!
We encourage you to come to Lake Quannapowitt and walk in-person around the lake! We'll have light snacks to fuel your walk and we welcome families to bring their own picnics to enjoy on the green after the walk. We'll also have a shaved ice truck to cool off when you are done. For the kids, there will be activities, balloons, and face painting! Check-in begins at 11:30am. Be sure to purchase your t-shirts ahead of time!​
For those who cannot make it in person or would prefer to walk locally, you can choose to do that again! All you need to do is register as a Virtual walker, fundraise, and plan to walk/run/ride a 5K any time over the weekend of September 23-24. Your walk, your way, on your schedule!
For in-person walkers:
  • ​Register today and invite friends and family to fundraise and walk with you!
  • Order this year's official Paces for Faces t-shirt by September 1, so you can receive your shirts before the official date!
  • Check-in will begin at 11:30am on September 24. 
  • We will kick off the walk at 12:15pm.
  • Bring a picnic lunch to relax after the walk!
  • From 1-3pm we will have a shaved ice truck in the church parking lot and activities on the green!
    • For virtual walkers:
  • ​Invite friends and family to fundraise and walk with you in your favorite local spot!
  • Order this year's official Paces for Faces t-shirt by September 1, so you and your team can walk in style!
  • Participate in the event with loved ones who live near and far.
    • For everyone:
  • Become a Smile Strider to receive a special Smile Strider badge on your page, social media recognition, and a gift from FFC!
  • Raise $750 through an individual fundraising page to be a Smile Strider.
  • Raise $1,500 through an individual fundraising page to be a Smile Strider Gold.
  • Raise $3,000 through an individual fundraising page to be a Smile Strider Platinum.

  • Share your photos/videos on social media and be sure to tag us and use #PacesforFaces2023!

  • Keep an eye out for information about Match Days and awards!

    Together we help children put their best faces forward

    Your financial contribution helps to fund programs and events for patients and families, providing them with the most accurate, up-to-date, and accessible information about facial differences, and to advocate for the best care possible for children with facial differences.
