I take comfort in knowing that I am in good hands as part of the Chestnut Hill College family.”
- Ahmya Hope ’22.
With the aid of our community of alumni and friends, Chestnut Hill College (CHC) remains undeterred in our goal to help deserving students achieve their dreams, like Ahmya Hope ’22, who is the recipient of a CHC scholarship.
Ahmya is a health sciences major and hopes to become a physician assistant to bring comfort and care to patients just like the care she has received at CHC.
“I chose Chestnut Hill College because of the inclusivity, understanding, equal opportunities, and quality education that Chestnut Hill College offers…[the] supportive learning environment encourages creative learning, challenges you to do your best work, and shapes your world views about all aspects of society and the world.”
Ahmya has been working hard for her future and Chestnut Hill College is there to support her every step of the way.
"This gift makes a difference in my education because it helped my family and me afford the tuition for Chestnut Hill College. Specifically, this financial assistance enables me to have more time to focus on my studies and not worry as much about paying my tuition.
As I complete my education at Chestnut Hill College, I am very thankful to have received the scholarship.” - Ahmya Hope ’22.
“Thank you for awarding me a Chestnut Hill College scholarship!”
- Dominick Razo ’24.
Dominick is a freshman from Utah who started his time at Chestnut Hill College remotely due to the pandemic. He was recruited to the College to play lacrosse, a sport he is very passionate about. At first, this year did not unfold as he would have hoped, yet he remained upbeat about the future and his journey with Chestnut Hill College.
Thanks to our family of supporters and to those who stuck with us through the height of COVID-19, our students are now able to return safely to campus. Freshmen like Dominick will now receive the full CHC experience, regardless of their financial means, which they so greatly deserve.
Dominick is very passionate about service work, which, along with his remote learning, kept him busy during the fall semester. He intends to continue volunteering throughout his years at Chestnut Hill College.
“I have done many hours of community service. One example is cleaning and weeding gardens around school property. I [also] volunteer my time as a coach for the little league teams for Copper Hills. Thank you again…for entrusting me with the [CHC] scholarship.” – Dominick Razo ’24.
Your support is more important now than ever! Nearly every student at CHC receives some form of financial assistance and more than $18 million in scholarships was awarded last year alone. Additionally, 45 percent of our students qualify for a Pell Grant, while the national average is 31 percent. Further, the COVID-19 environment has caused many of our working-class families to find themselves without a monthly income, and they will inevitably require additional financial assistance in the next academic year as well.
