What is the Baiada Scholarship Challenge?
As part of this year’s 12th Annual Scholarship Gala, honorees Ann and Mark Baiada have issued a challenge to the entire Griffin Community: The generous couple has offered to match every dollar our Griffins can raise, up to $100,000 in support of much-needed scholarships for deserving students!
The Challenge, which starts on April 15, will culminate with a live, one-hour event on May 13 featuring our honorees, Ann and Mark Baiada. This online event will be free for anyone to join and will include surprises that no one will see coming!
The funds raised for the annual Scholarship Gala have always been necessary, but this year, they will make all the difference. Every dollar raised for the Baiada Scholarship Challenge up to and on the day-of this event will go toward helping CHC students.
Your Support Matters
Your support is more important now than ever! Nearly every student at CHC receives some form of financial assistance and more than $18 million in scholarships was awarded last year alone. Additionally, 45 percent of our students qualify for a Pell Grant, while the national average is 31 percent. Further, the COVID-19 environment has caused many of our working-class families to find themselves without a monthly income, and they will inevitably require additional financial assistance in the next academic year as well.
