Join the fun! Take on one of our challenges, or set your own mileage goal that you will walk, run or bike to achieve from May 21st through May 27th. Whether you head to a local trail, take a run around the neighborhood, or walk on your treadmill - every mile counts! Share your progress with the #shareastep to motivate others, and to show the impact we have when share a step together!
What is Share a Step?
Share a Step is our virtual fitness event that invites individuals of all ages to set a mileage goal for the week of May 21st through May 27th. You can get your mileage in with a walk outside, a bike ride around the neighborhood or a run on the treadmill, just make sure you log it! Take pictures of each exercise and tag us on Facebook or Instagram with #shareastep to show your progress and challenge others to stay accountable.
Virtually Travel the distance of one of four local trails or you can set your own distance goals if you do not want to try for one of these tiers - it's up to you! All we ask is that you have fun and be safe by following all State, County Health and social distancing guidelines related to the COVID-19 virus.
Whatever your goal is, take a step each day towards achieving it and help raise funds for this important cause at the same time!

What are the funds being raised for?
Funds raised through this event will help to complete the second phase of renovations in the Springs building of Wesley Health Care Center. The first phase of renovations on the 5th Floor of the Springs Building was completed in 2016. We are now raising funds for Phase 2, to complete the renovations to floors 2, 3, and 4. New This Year! Daily Challenges to help you meet your goal!
Details for each Challenge will be shared leading up to the event. To be entered into each daily challenge, participants will share a photo completing their daily tasks and tag The Wesley Community's Facebook or Instagram, use the #ShareaStep and Tag the Sponsor's Facebook or Instagram as well.
One winner will be randomly selected from all qualifying participants to win the daily giveaway!

Which Challenge will you take?
The 100 Mile Challenge
Whether you are biking, running or walking, if you want to take on a serious challenge, this one is for you! Log a total of 100 miles from midnight on May 21st through midnight on May 27th, and by doing so you will travel the distance equivalent to the distance around Lake George!
The Lake George 12ster Challenge
Take on the total Lake George 12 peaks, for a total of 40 miles, or 5.7 miles a day, over the course of the week. Brownie points if you are able to get all 40 miles in on the actual Peaks!
Saratoga Greenbelt Trail Challenge
Take on this 24 mile challenge, or 3.5 miles a day, that is inspired by the Saratoga Greenbelt Trail. If you are local to Saratoga, you can get your miles in and experience this loop of the beautiful Saratoga Springs, see where the trail meanders by reviewing this map!
Mt. Marcy Challenge
Take on New York's highest peak by traveling 14.8 miles over the course of the week, and if you are really up for a challenge try and also create the vertical gain experience of over 5,300 feet!
