What:
The Polar Plunge is an exciting event where people are encouraged to dress in costume, raise funds and then, well, get wet! Raise funds for your school and Special Olympics at the same time.
Earn Money for your School:
We are in this together! Earn 30% of the total you raise for your school, once you have raised $1,500. Everyone is asked to raise a minimum of $50 to participate and you’ll earn a cool “I made a Splash for Special Olympics” wristband. Raise a minimum of $125 and you’ll also earn a long sleeve Polar Plunge t-shirt and lunch.
Where:
join us at the Lake Shastina Community Center and show your school spirit or host your own Plunge on your school campus! Don’t have a pool? No problem, anything will do. How about running through the school sprinklers? Maybe a water balloon fight? You get the idea.
Who:
Open to everyone on your campus including teachers, administrators and your family.
Why:
It is a great team-building experience, strengthening your school community while instilling in students a sense of responsibility and giving back. Plus, it’s a ton of fun and benefits your school and one cool charity – Special Olympics Shasta County.
