Where do the funds raised go?

Funds raised from the Sole To Soul Step-A-Thon will play a vital role in Right To Play's program delivery in Indigenous communities here in Canada and to programming internationally. Thank you for your support!


Will I get a charitable tax receipt for my donation?

All donations made through our online fundraising page with all of the required information (full name and complete address) will automatically receive a charitable tax receipt by email. If you have a question about your tax receipt please contact us at playmakers@righttoplay.com.


Can I collect cash or cheque pledges? How still Right to Play receive offline donations?

As a virtual event participant and fundraiser, you have the option of accepting cash pledges from your sponsors and entering them right into our online platform so it is counted towards your goal. Due to uncertainty about full office re-opening, we are currently limited in handling cash and cheque donations. However, you have the option of making a credit card payment to cover your sponsored offline pledges through our online peer-to-peer platform in your participant dashboard.


​How can I support Right to Play without joining the Step-A-Thon?

We are very grateful for any support, whether you participate in the Sole To Soul Step-A-Thon or not. Thank you! 

You can make a donation by hovering over "Donate" at the top of your screen until a drop down menu appears and clicking "Make a Donation." You can make a donation towards a participant's or team's fundraising goal by clicking "Donate to a Participant/Team" and then using the search feature to find their name. Once you have, click on the "Donate" button underneath their name and follow the prompts.


Do I have to join the Step-A-Thon as a team?

No, you can take part in the event as an individual or a team. The Sole To Soul Step-A-Thon teams can have an unlimited number of individuals. You are able to earn leader board points as an individual participant or as a team in each of the categories.


How do I invite someone to join?

At the top, right side of your personal page, team page, and the homepage, there is a menu with a button saying "Invite a friend." Follow the prompts and be sure to invite more people to gain more points!


How do I earn points?

Tracking your kilometres, participating in activities, sharing on social media, recruiting friends and donating dollars.


Are there prizes?

Everyone who engages and participates is a winner for supporting Right To Play and its mission to protect, educate and empower children and youth.

At the end of the event, the window for collecting points will be over and we will award top prizes for Leader Board categories including:

  • Top social media sharer 
  • Top recruiter - invite all your friends, family members, and peers 
  • Top fundraising team, family, and/or individual
  • Top points for individual
  • Top kms for individual and team
  • Top points for Playmaker


Where do I find activities to complete?

Go to "Activity" and then "Playtime" in the header.

Once you've found an activity you'd like to complete, click "Accept the Challenge" and follow the prompts. The more acitivities you complete, the more points you earn!


Can I view my activity history?

Yes, you can view your activity history and progress on your dashboard. Hover over your name at the top, right side of your screen until a drop down menu appears. Click on "Manage My Page" and then click on Dashboard from the left hand navigation.
