Step Forward to Prevent Suicide 2024

At 9:00am on June 8, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from our honorary speaker Chantelle Friedman with Live Inspired 365. After losing her dad to suicide six years ago, Chantelle and her family have found it important to be advocates for mental health care and suicide prevention. “When someone dies by suicide it doesn't end the pain. It passes the pain onto the many that care about them, and there's always someone that cares," Chantelle said.

After we hear her story, names of those lost to suicide will be read aloud during the Remembrance Ceremony. To submit a name by June 7, please click here (names will be read in alphabetical order by first name). Then the event will conclude with in a 1.5 mile walk from Fawick Park to Cliff Ave and back.

We encourage people to put together a team or register as an individual as we continue to step forward to prevent suicide and support those bereaved by loss. If you're not able to attend the event but wish to donate or purchase a t-shirt online, that's great as well!

See below map for event map including where to park (Avera or on the main streets... please do not park in the United States Postal Service employee lot).
