About 2026 Team NorCal USA Games
Special Olympics NorCal Athletes Reach for the Gold!
2026 Special Olympics USA Games will bring together 4,000 athletes, 1,500 dedicated coaches, 10,000 amazing volunteers and 75,000 enthusiastic fans from across the United States for a world-class celebration of competition and inclusion. This extraordinary event will set the stage for athletes to showcase their skills, dedication, and teamwork on a national level.
Special Olympics Northern California is proud to send 56 athletes, 12 unified partners, competing in nine different sports, to represent our communities at the Games. They’ll be accompanied by 20 dedicated coaches, who will support and cheer them on as the athletes strive for excellence in their respective sports.
With less than 5 months to go, excitement is building as our athletes continue their training and prepare to go for the gold. Through the power of sports and inclusion, the USA Games will inspire change that transforms lives and communities—and the Special Olympics NorCal athletes will stand as shining examples of the true spirit of competition.

About the Special Olympics USA Games
The Games are scheduled to take place from June 20-26, at the prestigious University of Minnesota, the official host venue. In addition to the university, the event will unfold across other premier locations, including the National Sports Center in Blaine.
There will be over 3,000 athletes and 1,500 coaches representing all 50 states, engaging in 16 Special Olympics team and individual sports. Special Olympics NorCal will have a delegation of 66 dedicated athletes who will have the opportunity to showcase their athletic skills in 9 different sports.

Special Olympics Northern California is proud to be sending a delegation of 66 athletes and 20 coaches to the Special Olympics USA Games in Minnesota. Our team will attend the games at no cost to our delegation or their families which is why your support is so important. Airfare, uniforms, sports equipment, lodging and other expenses associated with attending the Games are paid for thanks to the generosity of people and companies in our communities.
