Thrive 2023


We are extremely excited for you to join our second annual Thrive-K — a 5k fun run/walk and finish line party! ​


This year we are offering two different opportunities to pickup your race packet.

Friday, September 22 from 4-6 PM at the Pope Francis Center (438 Saint Antoine St, Detroit, MI 48226)

- Parking is available across the Center in the UDM Law School parking lot on Larned St. View parking map here.

- Please knock on the side door located on Larned St to receive your packet. If you have questions about locating the Center on Friday, please contact Caitlin Kelly from our team at (616) 745-0040

- Please note that if you pick up your packet on Friday, you do not have to stand in the registration line prior to the start of the 5K on Saturday.

Saturday, September 23 (day of event) at 9 AM on Belle Isle at the event registration tent

To help registration move quickly, wristbands will be handed out after you complete the 5K. Once completed, visit the Information Tent with your ID to receive your wristband. Additional food and drink tickets will also be available to purchase at the Information Tent.

- After crossing the bridge, head southeast on E Grand Blvd

- Keep left onto Casino Way

- Turn right onto Casino Way; the large parking lot will be on your right

Additional parking is available in the smaller lot located on Sunset Dr. Parking will be on your left.


Registration will begin at 9:00 AM. Registration will be located near the James Scott Memorial Fountain on Casino Way across from the parking lot. Same day registration will be available if you have additional friends and family that want to join the run/walk.


The run/walk will begin at 10:30 am. The course will be clearly marked, and volunteers will be there to help with directing you. For those who like to plan ahead, you can view the course map here


Each attendee will receive (1) food ticket in their race packet. Food is being provided by Regina’s Food Truck. Additional food tickets will be available to purchase with cash or credit card at the Information Tent.

Each attendee will receive (2) drink tickets in their race packet, which can be redeemed for beer or a soft drink. Wristbands are needed to redeem a drink ticket for an alcoholic drink. To receive a wristband, please present your ID at the registration tent after you complete the race.

Additional drink tickets will be available for purchase at the Information Tent.


For the convenience of our attendees, we will also have portable toilets located in the corner of the parking lot near the registration tent.


In addition to great food and drinks, there is tons of fun to be had at the Finish Line party! There will be a bounce house for the kids as well as yard games for adults. Come enjoy a relaxing afternoon on Belle Isle — there will be something for everyone!
