Young Professionals Board 

Board Overview 

The Team IMPACT Young Professional Board (YPB) is chartered with increasing awareness and support for Team IMPACT by engaging young professionals and recent graduates, with the goal of spreading Team IMPACT’s mission into their workplace(s) and their everyday lives. The board composition will include no more than ten (10) members and shall represent a diverse group of individuals and professional backgrounds. The YPB will harness the next generation of philanthropists and offer an opportunity to connect and support a growing organization, in addition to networking with like-minded individuals. 

Board member expectations  

GOALS  

  • Fundraise - With a goal of $15K for 2023 fiscal year, board members will: ·      
    • Support Team IMPACT annual giving campaigns by sharing on social media and with your networks. 
    • When applicable/feasible, solicit corporate sponsorships to support Team IMPACT events.
    • Host at least one fundraising event each year. 
  • Recruit -recruit program ambassadors and volunteers. Elevate and empower your community and network to join Team IMPACT. 
  • Recruit at least two peers each year to join Team IMPACT Champions Circle of volunteers. 
  • Engagement - Host two events each year  
    • One fundraising event 
    • One networking/awareness event. 

SERVICE  

  • Board Term - Board members will be asked to commit to a serving a 3-year term as we launch this new structure. At the end of the three years, the YP Board along with regional leadership, will evaluate the term limits and restructure as needed.  
  • Philanthropy - Include Team IMPACT in your philanthropic priorities by making an annual gift that is meaningful to you by Nov. 30 each year.  
  •  Leadership - board members will conduct themselves and carry out their responsibilities in good faith, with honesty, integrity, and positive IMPACT. 
  • Brand Awareness - enhance Team IMPACT brand in your community (consider hosting a Lunch & Learn at your office or a cocktail hour amongst friends, share on social media, etc.) 
  • Meetings - Be an active and present participant in quarterly board meetings and monthly committee meetings.  
  • Participate - in local Team IMPACT events.
